Twisted Tower Secrets: All Areas and Collectibles

Find every Twisted Tower secret, unlock all four traversal toys, track optional story items, and avoid current Secret Safari count issues.

Quick answer

  • 1The Journal may show 13 secrets mid-climb, but its total expands as new route sections load.
  • 2Clear every secret counter shown under each active Journal section before taking the next floor transition.
  • 3Twisted Tokens unlock the Harpoon, Fairy Wings, Bouncy Boots, and Jet Pack in that order.
  • 4Secret Safari requires every hidden area in one playthrough, although the launch build has reported counter issues.

How Secret Tracking Actually Works

The Journal may show 13 secret rooms during the early climb, but 13 is an intermediate total. New named sections add more secret counters as the route opens. Treat the Journal as a live route ledger, because its denominator expands when new sections load.

Twisted Tower can choose different paths between playthroughs. Your completion target is therefore every secret listed for the route in your current Journal, not one universal 13-room sequence. Open the pause menu before every elevator or floor transition and make sure each visible section reads complete.

Floor-by-Floor Secret Area Checklist

Use the section name in the Journal to choose the matching row. A route variant may replace one named section with another, so skip rows that never appear in your current climb.

Hotel route variantKids Corner1Enter with the stairs on your right and check behind the box beside them.
HotelFamily Center2At the hub with the locked Bedrooms door, take the left hall to its end. After the room-flip sequence, take the newly useful left passage.
HotelQuackin' Cocktails1After pulling the lever and meeting the television, enter the room on the right and look behind the statue.
HotelHoneymoon Suites1Enter the room with the broken floor, turn right, and use the concealed doorway directly ahead.
Lobby transitionLobby Basement1Turn right into the open room, turn right again, and walk through the poster ahead.
Lobby returnLobby, part 21 of 2Leaving the basement puts you on the upper-left Lobby route. Follow it down and walk through the false wall to finish the Lobby counter.
Waterpark route variantWest Poolrooms2After lowering the wall, pass the spikes and grapple into the high vent left of the bonfire. After restoring electricity and grappling into the next poolroom section, search the lockers, take the first left, and climb through the wall gap.
Waterpark route variantEast Poolrooms2Enter the showers on the left, turn right into the hidden corner, drop through the vent, and pass through the barrier on the left. Later, take the right dead-end hall and look up for a grapple vent.
WaterparkThe Crimson Pearl2From the landing, enter the water below and find the hidden vent. After opening the blue door, turn left and climb to the upper platform.
Waterpark transitionNipples Bridge1Turn right on the bridge, step onto the ledge, and look below it.
Clown CasinoGamblin' Hall2After opening the relevant door, check behind you for a low tunnel beneath a platform. After the second slot-machine lever opens the key route near the television, look left and grapple up.
Clown CasinoGiggle Coaster1Let the first encounter open the stairs, go up and right, then use the lever behind the cube. Follow the opening behind the painting and grapple into the secret.
Fairground ForestCarnival2Near the entrance, climb the rock with the large spider and search beneath its position. During the cart route, watch the right side and stop before leaving the area.
Fairground ForestGodmother Maze2At the Ferris-wheel area entrance, search behind the lit caravan on the left. The other secret sits behind the huge statue in the same wider area.
Space StationLightspeed Pass2Exit the elevator and walk the right-hand ledge. Near the next required grapple, take the parkour route on its left.
Space StationMartian Discovery Ride1Jump to the right side, enter the tunnel in the wall on your left, then turn left inside.

The route table intentionally follows Journal section names. Ordinary side rooms, ammo caches, and story pickups do not increase a secret counter unless the game displays the secret-area confirmation.

Twisted Tokens and the Four Toys

Each major token sends you back toward the Lobby for a new movement toy. Collect the toy before chasing high vents or distant platforms that clearly exceed your current movement.

Fairground Forest, near the Ferris wheelJet PackGain an extra midair boost. The token is behind the locked return door, and its key route runs through Godmother Maze.

The green first token leads to the Harpoon. Later tokens keep the same loop: finish the floor objective, collect the token, return to the Lobby path, and claim the next toy.

What to Backtrack For

Several secret cues are deliberately visible before you can reach them. Use this order when deciding whether to keep searching or return later:

  1. Clear both Beach secrets before entering the tower. The entrance transition makes a missed Beach room especially awkward to recover.
  2. Record the first Lobby secret, then finish the second after leaving Lobby Basement.
  3. Recheck ceiling vents and blue grapple targets after receiving the Harpoon, especially in the Poolrooms and Gamblin' Hall.
  4. Recheck gaps and elevated platforms after receiving the Fairy Wings.
  5. Follow trampoline routes after receiving the Bouncy Boots, then use the Jet Pack for late high ledges.
  6. Ignore a section name that never appears in the current Journal. It may belong to a different path or Adventure Plus layout.

Route variation changes which section you receive. It does not change the basic completion test: every visible section counter for the current climb should be crossed off before you leave it behind.

Optional Story Collectibles and Conversations

Newspapers, letters, tape recorders, televisions, and character conversations build the optional story, but they are separate from the secret-area counter. Use the video above as the visual pickup order, then apply this floor sweep:

Route phaseWhat to inspect before leaving
Beach, Lobby, and HotelWatch every television, read desk and side-room letters, inspect the early newspaper, and exhaust conversations when Piper or another friendly character appears.
Mermaid PalaceSearch both poolroom routes, The Crimson Pearl, and the sewer transition for letters, a newspaper, televisions, and optional dialogue.
Clown CasinoCheck side rooms around the gambling route, the coaster transition, and the return to the Lobby for letters, a newspaper, a tape recorder, and televisions.
Fairground ForestSweep the Carnival, Ferris-wheel area, and Godmother Maze transitions for tape recorders, a newspaper, televisions, and optional talks.
Lightspeed Pass and Space StationInspect the station route, cinema path, and final climb for the late tape sequence, televisions, and remaining conversations.

Interact before crossing a one-way transition. A story pickup may sit on the critical path without counting as a secret, while a true hidden area may contain only tickets or ammunition.

Secret Safari Troubleshooting

The published Secret Safari condition requires every hidden secret area in a single playthrough. Use the per-section Journal rows as the practical test and avoid relying on the global denominator alone.

As of August 21, 2026, players have reported launch-build cases where the global count grows to an unreachable-looking total or the achievement remains locked after visible rows are complete. That report describes a possible tracking issue, not an extra confirmed room. Before assuming you missed something:

  • Confirm both Beach secrets before the tower entrance.
  • Confirm both Lobby secrets, including the post-basement return.
  • Check whether your route used Kids Corner, Family Center, East Poolrooms, West Poolrooms, or another variant.
  • Expand every Journal section and verify its local counter instead of comparing your total with a different route.
  • Keep your completed save if every active row is crossed off, since repeating the same route cannot prove that an undocumented room exists.
